Hi,
I dont know of any places to rent a phone but you can buy a new phone for 300-1300 SEK with a pay as you go plan i.e. no subscription, just fill the card with as much money as you need. This is one of many shops that offer these phones: http://www.phonehouse.se/Mobiltelefoner/Med-kontantkort Your profile does not say where you live but if you have a GSM phone you could bring the phone and buy a Swedish SIM card with a pay as you go plan ("Kontantkort") for something like 150-250 SEK.
