Have you been to Karol Bagh? It is a bit of a dump like most of Delhi.

I would not have thought that the Karol Bagh district is not really the place to look for a good salon. As the previous person said, it isn't really a smart area and it full of budget hotels and is a bit run down. Actually, thats a bit harsh, it is just not fashionable but more of a good reasonably priced place to stay.
I would recommend just trying to find a salon in a different district and just get a taxi or tuc-tuc to take you there and back. This type of transport in Delhi is very cheap.

There is a Metro stop right at Karol Bagh which can whisk you almost anywhere in the city
