| Verona | Which Airport? Posted: Tue February 19, 2008 02:37 PM UTC
We are planning holidays in Riva del Garda. Not sure which airport will be best for us- Brescia or Verona. Ryan Air to Brescia seems quiet cheap but are there any direct buses to Riva del Garda from Brescia. I know there is one from Verona Porta Nova station. How often does buses depart from Brescia Airport to Verona station? Does anyone know?
Thanks |

Hi
Of course the Verona (VRN) Catullo airport is easier.... Shuttle bus to Porta Nuova Station every 20 mins (and les than 15 minutes ride) and then from there direct bus to Riva ( +or - every hour.. see the transportation tip I wrote in my Torri del Benaco page). But as you can see here ( http://www.aeroportidelgarda.it/_data/_pdf/bs/Aero So, basically, the difference (if you can book it) may be only the longer transportation time ( i would say aroun 1 hour) and a few euros (well worth the Ryanair discount) Hope this helps... Ciao Francesco

Thanks Francesco
I had checked the Brescia Airport website it seems that bus to Verona Porta Nuova station departs at 12:30 but the Ryan air flight arrives in Brescia at 14:40. It doesn't mention that there are any more buses thereafter. It seems unlikely that there will be only one bus a day.

read better the PDF i pointed you to:
Brescia Aeroporto Verona Stazione FS Airport Railway Station *€ 11,00 *€ 16,00 Tutti i giorni Daily 12.30 Tutti gli orari sono in coincidenza con voli Ryanair. Each departure corresponds with a connecting Ryanair flight. This, as far as i know, is a general policy of the Rayanair... They cannot drop you in airport, usually in the middle of nowhere, leaving you without at least a bus... Or maybe they can...? Try ask them for more. Ciao Francesco
