Tour package for a German student

Hi, I am an 18 years old student from Germany, and I will spend my training time in Sydney from July until September. Before I fly back home Ive got 10/11 days in September where I would like to get to know Australia a little bit. I have been surfing around the internet, but the tour packages I am interested in are just too expensive for a student.
Now I`d like to ask you all for help: Have you got any suggestions that are worth looking after (email-addresses, tour package offerings, bus-tour, flihts and so on)I am really thankful to get the one or other hint. Just surving around makes no sense anymore, because I cannot afford the expensive tours. Thank you in advance for every idea or every hint!

Thanks for writing me, but, do you have any suggestions concerning my trip to Down Under? I`d really like to ge some good "insider tips" about where to go from Sydney. Have a nice day
