Our first stop on a round the world trip is Calgary.. Backpacking none-the-less on a budget of £30 per day ($60). Looking for suitable budget accomodation (hostels/motels/B&B) that is clean, friendly and good loaction. Any suggestions? Ideally not the club 18-30's atmosphere, as we are ages 25 and 28 (couple)..
Any must-see sights, unmissable attractions? |

You shoul have no problem finfin accomodation if booked in advance. I don;t know any hostels but there are a few. Check the tips on VT for Calgary.
Things to see in the area are Drumheller, Banff, Columbia Ice Fields, Lake Louise and others

I have heard that the hostel in Calgary is in a questionable part of town but I have never been there. I too am looking for an inexpensive motel to stay in the night before I fly back home in July.

yeah, i probably wouldn't stay at the calgary hostel. it's a pretty sketchy area
