Which would be the best routes ( bus numbers etc?)

Phoenix and Scottsdale are both pretty big cities. From Sky Airport to Old Town Scottsdale (Scottsdale Road at Indian School Road), the best would probably be the Red Line and transfer to the 72 north in Tempe. Lots of options, none that great as they all involve transfers, unless you're coming in at a time when you can catch an express bus (evening rush hour).
