Tromsų Travel Forum

Hi All! I am a new member to VT forum. I need help regarding winter activities in and around Tromso. Booked hotel from 21st to 25th feb in Tromso, browsed this website which I found in this forum http://www.destinasjontromso.no/english/documents/WinterActivities0708.pdf. Tt was very useful. since we are new to norway and dont know how the climate will be at this time, can you please suggest what will be the ideal activities there for 4 days and also is it ok to come there are book the activiites depending on the weather? or prebook it?

What sort of activities you'd find "ideal" kind of depends on what you like to do! So I can't really suggest much - what do you enjoy doing? Reindeer sleigh rides? Dogsledding? Skiing? Snowshoeing? Fishing? Northern lights tours? Visits to "sami camps"? Dinner in a sami tent? Just sit around drinking hot chocolate? :-P If you look at the destinasjontromso.no website, you'll find a list of tours and activities - but we can't really choose for you... :o))

I suppose you should be able to book most tours in Tromsų - but you might want to send an email to the tourist information office (email address on destinasjontromso website) or the tour company and ask, just to make sure.
