As I've posted before, I will 1 week in Cairo in March. How worried should I be about the Khamsin wind?
And just to know the up-to-date price: how much does a taxi cost from the airport to Gizeh? Cheers |

I would not worry about the khamseen, it can be annoying but nothing to worry over. Last year the worst that happened to me was my book blew in the pool :)
I would suggest you get a yellow city cab from the aiport to Giza as they are 'on the clock' and during the windy season more comfortable as they are all air conditioned and the windows close! 30-50le is good advice. Last March, I went to the Pyramids in the Khamseen and I wore a neck scarf to cover my face and I didn't really need it to be honest... TIP... don't dry your whites out the window in this weather :) sand travels!
