if you have five days just for the journey it is feasible. it is a long and tiring journey and you may wish to break the journey at two points in mexico and one inside guatemala. i dont think you would be able to do it roundtrip in five days unless you are inside the bus all the time. there are lovely towns to stop in between..

realistic in what sense? it is possible and is a long trip. you aren't going to have much time to stop and see stuff along the way which would be the purpose of doing such a trip.

It is about 24 hours on the road each way. I think the ticket is about $100 each way first class luxury. You do have to connect in Guatemala City for some sort of transportation to Antigua. (About 1 hour)
So it is doable. Stopping along the route to visit some of the attractions makes a lot of sense. Good luck. bob
