Between 5 and 8 hours depending on time of departure from Brindisi train and therefore whether there are 2 connections (via Bari and Taranto) or one (Taranto or Caserta). The fastest connection on a weekday at least is with EuroStar Italia at 12:42, changing in Caserta (arr 16:35, dep 16:56), arr. Napoli Centrale 17:44. There is no direct night train, the nearest thing is the 22:46 InterCityNight, which lands you in Caserta at 04:14 (connection to Naples at 05:05).
Apart from Trenitalia site you can also use http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/query.exe/en.

The Trenitalia website (in English) is at www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html .

The Trenitalia site will give you pricing - but not so far out. Instead, pick a day in the next week or so that is the same day of the week as when you want to travel - the results will be approximately the same as in August. Note that there is a database update scheduled for June 14th or so, so the results after that date will be erratic at best until we get much closer to that date.

The bahn website uses the same database, and while it can't give pricing (in Italy), it has certain features that the Trenitalia website does not have, such as being able to ask for a routing through a certain city. In this case, I don't think you'll need that, but getting familiar with the two websites before your trip would be a good thing...
