Question Posted By: Replies:
A dating story
Posted: Sat February 16, 2008 07:46 PM UTC
I just had a first date with a woman I've been talking to for about a week. We went to the farmers market (which, incidentaly, Samantha Brown from the travel channel was filming) She brought her dog. We shopped, ate lunch at a sidewalk cafe and talked on a park bench while playing with her dog.
I think I really like this one. I have no idea if she likes me.
hmm, I guess that isn't a question, is it?

That is great Scott .
As P J says hopefully to be continued .

What I will say is this ,that I hope this lady will see that you Scott are a nice guy and you deserve nothing but the best in life and that includes a nice person to share your life with ,if that is what you want .
I hope you'll be telling us more when there is more to tell Scott.

Sounds like the feeling's mutual on both sides! She definitely likes you if she called you and asked to see you again. Hope it goes well tonight. Have fun!

perhaps...I hope so. For the record, I am possibly the worst person at 'reading' a woman.

Then don't try to read her. Be very open and up front with her and ask her to be the same with you. Good luck. But most of all, just be yourself and have fun. If you're having fun, she will too.

I did see Samantha Brown several times. It's a very small farmers market we have. Didn't recognize her at first. They don't block her off from the crowd or anythng like that. Just her and a cameraman with a handheld and a boom mic.

btw Babs, I am myself on a date. I just meant that at the end of dates I never have an idea whether the girl liked me or not. I think most men have that same problem. I usually find out by whether she picks up the phone or not :/

Scott, I have just got off the phone with her. She said that until she met you she had been gay, now she's not so sure. Sounds promising. Make sure you and the dog become inseparable and every time you buy her something, buy something for the dog too.

Shoes - they always look at the shoes. Believe it or not, manicured nails sans polish. If the car isn't new, at least let it be clean. Speak not evil of the departed. Home free. Good luck.

I must be odd, Lew. Because I never notice a guy's shoes. Fingernails, now, are a different story. They should never be as long as mine are. hahaha

Brenda I know I am terrible but if I were Scott reading my post I would be pretty happy. If you can be so appealing that someone is prepared to change the team they bat for, that is an achievement. I think I can tell from his original post that Scott worked out already that if he made sure he got on well with the dog, that was a good start.

Good question, Ann. You didn't have blue skin when you went on your date, did you? Well, she called so I guess it doesn't matter. Must be she likes blue people.

surprised Brenda because my beloved P tells me that shoes are the most important criterion. ( She also tells me she is never wrong ?? ) ??? Meanwhile, if you want the dog you may have to take the human with her. :)
