| Indiana | Need restaurant help on I 70 Corridor between Indianapolis & St Louis Posted: Sat February 16, 2008 03:39 PM UTC
We are planning a major cross-country trip this Spring and need help. We will be traveling this leg of our trip along I70 and are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for dinner about 1-2 hours east of St Louis. We'd like easy off, easy on to I70. American, Chinese, Italian, Mediteranean food.
Thanks, Irv |

Troy, IL I-70/55 , Exit# 18 there's a Cracker Barrel and Krieger's Sports Grill. Collinsville, IL I-70/55 Exit# 11 there's a Bob Evan's, Ruby Tuesday's, Ponderosa Steak House and Bandana's Bar-B-Q there are several others but these are the ones I've been to.

Closer to Indianapolis, I would recommend the Plainfield, Indiana exit. It's just to the west of the city. Right off the exit, there is a Cracker Barrel, Bonefish Grill, Arby's Steak and Shake and Woodfire Grill (western BBQ style place). If you go a little further North to US 40 and then turn east, you'll find even more restaurant selections as well as an outdoor mall (Metropolis). Metropolis itself has a Claddagh Irish restaurant and a couple more sit down type places.
