Just a general question really.........I was wondering how much would one need to live comfortably in Barbados?

I don't know but do have a suggestion.

Using the internet, find how much it cost to rent or buy a condo/house/apartment.

If those are all expensive or inexpensive, then most other things will likely be in the same price range.

Hope this makes sense.

I believe that housing would be your largest single expense, that's why I made the previous suggestion.

Barbados has one of the highest costs of living in the world. However, everything is available and most people make shopping trips to Miami or Puerto Rico or New York at least once a year. Depends how you like to live and what "comfortable" means to you, so a little difficult to come up with an accurate answer.

i lived in barbados from 2007-2008. it is very expensive to live there. a decent house or apartment will cost you 8-900 barbados dollars a month. cars are crazy expensive. i'm talking 1000 barbados dollars a month for a 2001 model. food is also very expensive, prepare to pay about 30 barbados dollars for about 2 pounds or so of chicken to cook. but all in all, the lifestyle, culture and beauty of barbados more than makes up for the high cost of living in this wonderful paradise.

all in all. i think you would need to be making at least 5000 barbados dollars a month to live decently.

depends on what you mean by comfortably!!!
