Is it possible to visit Giza, Memphis, Saqqara, dahshur, Fayyoum in one day and then return to Cairo before dark?
Or is it more advisable to break them into 2 seperate trips?
Perhaps Giza, Memphis & Saqqara one day
then
a day trip to Fayyoum?

I visited Dahshur, Saqqara, Memphis and Giza in a day and it was fine. I felt I had enough time to see each site as long as I wanted to, but there was not much time left to see jet another place. You better save Fayyoum for another day.

You really can't do the major pyramid feilds & the Fayoum in one day. I'd say that Daishur and saquara alone are a preyy full day, but just about combinable with Giza if you pust it. Saquara is a vast site wit a lot to see, jou could easily spend a day theer. There isn't so much at daishur but the pyramids are spread over a very large area. Lot's of tour groups only get to within 2km of the broken pyramid & approach no further. Giving you only a distant and backlit view of the pyramid.

From all the feedback, I think we'll be doing Giza, Memphis and Saqqara in one day. I'm claustrophobic, so I wont be going into any pyramids, I guess that would save me time? I really want to see the colossal ramses statue.

I am rethinking Fayyoum, and is considering going up to see Qanater instead, but I'm not sure what I can do/see there. Will post another question on that :)
