hello
i have the opportunity to go on a trip to mid-northern india and nepal early march for 15 dyas. But i've heard that weather might be dodgy these days, rainfalls etc.is it true?somebody else told me that rainy season starts mid-april so i am a bit confused.thank u |

well.. its the beginning of summer here. till the march end, climate is around 30 degrees celcius. in april and may it often cross, 30 degres.
we do expect mansoon in india by the second week of june. so there is no fear of rainfall. when u exactly gonna be here? and march are the quite cool months for travellers.. cool in the sense of joy.. notta climate.

Hi - early May will probably bring min temps around 10-11 (C) and max around 24-25 (C). It will be around the same in Nepal. No rains in March, which is a pleasant time (weather-wise) in India. Enjoy!

I was in Shimla and McLeod Ganj this time last year and it was Cold -- Snowed in Shimla but McLeod Ganj the skies were Blue but still very Cold

BTW, New Delhi is currently a warm 26 (C). March is the start of summer and you should have nice weather. Since you'll be at some higher altitudes it might get cooler at night. We had all our cold weather a couple of weeks ago here in Mumbai and even in the north the worst of the snow seems to be gone. (Shimla is currently a very nice 20 (C).)
