Does anyone know a decent hotel near the tobias blacno airport in San Jose? I arrive late at night at the international airport and need to catch a domestic flight early in the morning at Tobias Blanco

There isn't much around the Tobias Bolano (Pavas) airport. Casa Roland B&B nearby has always gotten good reviews.

There is a Hampton Inn right across from the airport. They have an airport bus for transportation to and from the airport - I don't know how early or late they run though. (You have to get a vehicle because you have to cross a highway IIRC). It's not Costa Rican like some other places might be, but it is decent and clean, and if you don't leave too early in the morning, they have breakfast.

Just to clarify things so you don't get confused. The Hampton Inn and Garden Court Inn are two very North American style places right across from the International airport (SJO) not the Tobias Bolano airport. I would allow 30 minutes to get between the two if you choose to stay near the SJO one. Traffic is variable and can be really bad or not bad at all so the time can be only approx. I have done it in 20 minutes and 40 minutes.
