Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Strasbourg Sunday, anything open
Posted: Fri February 15, 2008 02:32 PM UTC
We want to drive over from Germany this Sunday and have a meal and stay the night.

Is there anything open and if so, in what area is the best for dining. We would like to go someplace more French, not so much German oriented food since we live in Germany.

Thanks!

Many restaurants are open on sundays in Strasbourg, specially in the touristy center (around the Cathedral and in the Petite France)
Some ideas
The famous maison Kamerzell
Zuel Strissel - place de la grande boucherie
you can have a look at http://www.fra.cityvox.fr/restaurants_strasbourg/Restaurants (search by area, type of cooking..)

Hi, 65 kms from Strasbourg is 3-star Michelin restaurant Auberge d'Ill in Illhaeusern. As you can imagine, it's the absolute top in culinary art.
See http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Europe/France/Alsace/Illhaeusern-119693/Restaurants-Illhaeusern-R-1.html#1

It also has a hotel. And to find your way: www.viamichelin.com
