How do we choose a reputable cab company at the airport in Naples Italy? We are going to be carrying each one bag and don't want to take the shuttle to the center of town. We are staying at the Hotel Nuovo Rebeccino for one night before getting a car service to the Amalfi Coast.

Lots of luck! We got dudded something horrible when we got off the ferry. A couple of tips you might find useful.
Ask them beforehand how much and, when you're in the cab, make SURE the meter is running. If you still feel you are being had when you arrive at your destination, threaten them with the police. Of course, all these things I learned too late. Cheers.

I agree with Ian. Be absolutely certain that the meter is running as soon as you set off. If it is not, demand that they put it on. It is better to wait at a taxi rank for a cab and not to go off with a driver who may approach you in the terminal. Also make sure that you know what the deal is BEFORE they put your luggage in the cart and have you in and seatbelted up.
