Skopje Gipsy town
Posted: Wed February 13, 2008 08:09 AM UTC
When I was in Sarajevo I met a Polish guy. He had been in a town where only gipsies live. Even the mayor was a gipsy.

When I am going to Macadonia. I want to visit this town. I cannot find the name of the town on the internet.

Does anyone know the name of this town and what it is like ?

Thanks

You mean "Shutka"?

Here I answer with a question to a question. "Shutka" means "joke" in Russian.
How about Macedonian?

If you go on my homepage, you will find the only tip about Shuto Orizari in this site. I went there because I love Gipsy music! And why not seeing how it is? If you go by day on sunday there is market and it could be that this is the reason why you won't get begged up that day. There is an Adventist church, but some Roma are also Jehovas'. And there live not only Roma. Other refugees from Kosovo also settled there. To go there, you have bus 19 or 20 from the other road side of Bit Pazar.
