I do not think so; as you approach BKK the onboard info says that a number of flights have international transit connections to domestic destination and you pick up baggage and get through duty there. I never heard this about Koh Samui, and I have been there myself. They list Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pukhet and a couple more places. Koh Samui`s airport is really small. Luckily. Why not stay overnight in BKK on the way in and out of K.S.? If well thought out, thatīs a good way of creating a significant comma in your travel.

This will depend on your ticketing arrangement. If you have booked a through flight and this is simply a codeshare arrangement, then your baggage will book straight through. However, if you have booked separate flights individually with each airline, then your baggage will be dealt with separately and you will need to check it in to the second flight.

Have a great trip!

This will depend on your airline. If you are flying with Thai then I expect the answer is yes. However if you are flying with BA then the answer will more than likely be "no". You should check with Eva.
