Hi
We will be in Cairo for a couple of nights. Which area would you recommend staying in? Would like to be in the main tourist area with a good night life. Any recommendations? Thanks |

I also interested in a good hotel in Cairo, Night life is not as important to me. I'm interested in a not too expensive, clean hotel in a good location. By good location, I mean in a convenient, safe location for tourist,

Down town is excellent place and MOST hotels located there and most of them with reasonable prices but avoid the very cheap ones because you will be very disappointed there like DAHAB hostel.
There are alot of restaurants, shops, stores and etc......... Feel free to send me message if you need any answers about your questions or help about Egypt Rosegirl

We always stay at the Garden City House Hotel, right between the Nile Hilton and the Semiramis Intercontinental.
It is cheap and clean but dated. A 5 minute walk from the Museum.
