I am going to spend one week at sea shore near Antalya in beginning of May. Could you hint me what probability of rain in that period. since my visit is very shot i really really want to avoid rain during my stay... If possible give me a link to site with annual rain distribution for this area.

I always check www.weather.com & www.wunderground.com for weather forecasts in the next 10 days or even one month. Somehow it does work for me.

The weather these days is very unpredictable and unseasonable worldwide. There is a very good chance that You'll get good weather in May in Antalya, However, be prepared for a short burst of rain/Thunder.
Unless the rain Gods owe You a favour, I'd not expect a 100% guarantee of no rain! Best Wishes, Sue

this is turkish state forecast center web link. Personally I can say april and may are rainy season for Antalya region.

Thank you all for replies. I decided to refrain from visiting Antalya in May. Probably I will change to Egypt which is safer, and visit Antalya next year in summer.

Antalya is a SAFE city do not worry about that.It is as safe as MOSCOW.

Ttoo bad you will be disappointed that you missed out travelling to Antalya..I live here for the past 11 years and every year the weather patterns are changing all the time...NO one can predict the weather for you and your holiday..but in all likeliness the weather will be nice...last year around mid may the temps were 33C...
