Hurghada Travel Forum

I was wondering if there is a place in Hurghada that you can purchase gold or silver from for a reasonable price. I have seen that there are places in Cairo, but I was wanting to purchase it in Hurghada instead of having to travel to Cario for this. Is there a specific place that you could recommend for this?? Also if you could recommend some other good shopping areas for general shopping, that would be awsome.

Don't want to disappoint you but honestly you will not find gold/silver or generally jewels for reasonable prices at all in places like Hurghada and Sharm,it is very touristy places!!!
if you want to buy much or many pieces of jewels so it is much better to do that in Cairo and choose city that is not very touristy to get real rates.
Honestly prices in such touristy areas is double or more the real price of gold.

yes it is true that the prices here in Hurghada is very high because it is touristic city but you can buy gold with reasonable prices as well
beside the post office there are many jewllery shops which they sell the Egyptians but you should ask foe the price in the newspappers or just to know how much one gramm of pure gold 18 K cost then you can add 15% or 20 % more for each gramme as a for making the Gold in the forms you choose also you can handel also
