My husband and I are attending our daughters wedding near pisa in August and are failing to find either a wheelchair accessible taxi or hire car to get around. Can anyone tell me what disabled people do in Italy to travel anywhere.
We also need a portable hoist but again no luck. We really do not want to spoil our daughters wedding but we are getting desperate. Please can anyone advise us.

Thankyou for the lead, do you know how far genova is to pisa as the car hire company does seem a long way from pisa, do you know if there are local companies that can help?

Unfortunately i cannot advice better then i did. Pisa to Geneo should be around 200 kms... Check www.viamichelin.it or any other map site to know better.
