Can someone please tell me what the diving is like in the harbour? It seems as though you can dive the ruins but what is the visibility and general diving conditions like? I'm thinking of being there in September. Any advice gratefully received.

Every time i've seen stuff on it the viz is poor.

From the reefs point of view Alexandria is not rich. BUT from the archaeological point of view it is very rich. Sumerged monuments are lot, some of them have been already transferred to the museums. I think I have some relevant tips in such concern on my travel pages.
