Hi,

I have a poor sense of direction and I happen to start work in Makati - someone say LOST!? How do I get to and from Enterprise Center? What are my options, say from LRT or MRT (jeepney rides) or Buses? Please help me!

Thanks a bunch!

heres, what you can do,after you done all HR formalities , ask them waht is the best way to go there, I'm sure, not all HR personnel are driving thier own car, otherwise, take a cab on your first day. Now, during your first day, make friends immediately, ask them how to get to LRT, Im sure they know the best way, even the shortcut .They might even tell you that theres a free ride somewhere else....

You didn't specify where you're coming from. If you're coming from QC area (EDSA), you may take the MRT to Ayala Station. Fxs and jeepneys bound to Ayala Ave would take you to the Enterprise Center in Paseo.

If you're coming from Manila, take the LRT to Gil Puyat station and get a bus or an FX going to Ayala Ave.

On your first day, time allotment is your best option. Also, PLEASE TAKE NOTE of the LOADING and UNLOADING points along Ayala Ave. They can be pretty 'damage' your way to work. Haha. No. Seriously.

Goodluck!!

From MRT to Enterprise, you can just walk. go through SM, then glorietta, to greenbelt, through ayala and then to enterprise. I thin there are jeepneys from the Forbes side of EDSA that goes all the way to Makati. The problem is that there are designated for drop off and other areas for pick up of passengers. There's one in front of the Philippine Stock Exchange. Just not sure if they can drop you off there or load passengers. You can go the same way going back to MRT.

From the LRT station, you can get off at the buendia station and ride a bus with a sign board of fairview or monumento via Ayala. I think it will stop about 1 block away from the enterprise building. You'll have to walk from there.

Just a reminder: do use the underpasses to cross streets.

Here is an interactive map of Makati. Locate where you are and where you want to be and decide what works. You can print this map in an internet shop if you want.

How you get to somewhere depends on where you are starting from!

Taking a meter taxi is a good idea.

Thanks for the help! I will be coming from North - MCU, LRT & MRT are both accessible from my area. I don't know which way is easier and maybe less of a hassle. Also, going from enterprise back to MRT / LRT stations, which is a better option? I was told it may not be safe taking the LRT, as the area is a bit of a "snatcher" zone. Is this true? Thanks everyone!

the least hassle will be a bus ride, since an ayala bound bus will only be i ride though, but you will be at the mercy of the traffic. A two or three ride option is take the mrt to buendia station as mentioned above and then the bus that passes by ayala ave. If your a woman, the mrt has a separate coach for women so it wouldnt be too crowded and smelly. The MRT skips the traffic mess along edsa so you can get your work faster.

I am from Valenzuela and I work in Ayala, Makati too (RCBC fronting People Support). I always take the LRT since it's less time consuming rather than a bus ride to MRT North Edsa. Especially for you, since it prolly take you like 5 minutes to get to the LRT station.

The safety would depend on your work schedule. If you're working day shift, LRT should be your best option. From Gil Puyat station, take the bus. They'd drop you off in front of Phil Stock Exchange, just cross and walk about a block and you're ready to work.

If you're working the night shift, LRT closes at 9pm, but there are FXs going to Buendia. (Going home past 10pm, i highly suggest you take a bus, it won't be safe doing the Manila route at that time). Buendia should be pretty safe. With regards to "snatcher" zones, anywhere else could be one haha.

But I would suggest, you try and take EDSA and Manila route once then you'd know which works for you.

Thanks everyone! Your replies are helpful. I took the advice to take the LRT to Gil Puyat then a bus ride after. It is less of a hassle compared to MRT - so crowded! As for going home, I asked around and was told to take a jeep to the MRT. My only problem is that its hard to find a jeep - since its rush hour, I have to wait around 20 mins before I can find a NOT FULL jeep. Are there other ways to go around this? Also, where's can I get a taxi in the area? I've been checking near the loading areas (where buses and jeepneys stop) and almost 0 cabs stop there. Help please. Appreciate it!!!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, going back would be a problem, since you would be among the thousands of office workers going home all at the same time. Take the bus going back to the LRT station, there wont be too many passengers, since the buses are at the end of their route. The situation at the lrt buendia station would be almost the same as the mrt buendia or ayala station. Full! much worst if you get an lrt train which is not yet aircondioned or the ac has conked out.

If you like exercise, take the elevated walkway going along greenbelt-to glorieta-to sm ayala and directly to the ayala mrt concourse. Part of the way will be in airconditioned comfort. Its not so far actually and the only hassle will be in buying your mrt ticket. get the prepaid value ticket so that you would not need to line up. You will also get to know the pasikot sikot in that area. If your a woman, leave your pumps at the office or in your bag and use a comfortable shoe.

Or take the ayala mrt jeepneys, that is if you can find an empty seat!Their situation will be same as the buendia mrt bound jeepneys.

Forget about the taxis.

the best way to get to the MRT from enterprise during the rush hour is to walk either using the walkway or just cross over to Shang then 6750 then to glorietta, then sm and then the MRT. I find the latter to be a less hassle walk because there won't be too many people compared to the multitudes that take the walkway-landmark-glorietta route. besides, you won't have to go up and down any stairs if you go through ayala. The best way to get a cab at that hour is to call them by landline. try calling basic taxi, avis, MGE or dollar.
