Hello everybody!
Is there a need to pay the $14 departure tax at the airport? One forum said that there's no need and another says you have to pay. Anyone departed from Vietnam lately who did or didn't pay the departure tax. Thanks!!! |

Hi,
There is no more $14 dep. tax to pay in Hanoi airport. I was there last May and it had already been stopped.

If there is a depature tax, I think it's now included in the price of your ticket. I flew home from HCMC on Tuesday, and no little booth to stop in before going through security to pay your getting out of the country money.

Vietnam no longer imposes an airport tax separately. It comes with your ticket.

I flew home from HCMC and there wasn't a departure tax. It's built into your ticket now, I believe. But if you're flying out of Cambodia there IS still a $25 departure tax.

No departure tax, and yep flying out of Cambodia has 25 bucks charge but overland non.
