| Antibes | Antibes - is it a good central location to visit other places???? Posted: Sat February 9, 2008 06:36 AM UTC
Hi all,
I am planning to visit Antibes for 1 week in mid march with my partner, and our 4 month old baby, as it seems to be not as busy as places like Nice, Cannes, etc. Obivously we'd like to visit those places on the odd day here and there, but as we have the little one in tow now, we'd like to be able to "retreat" to somewhere abit quieter. Or if anyone can suggest, another location, abit quieter, but central to all these places? any info would be extremely appreciated! (ps. we will have a car rental for the week) thanks all. Lee. |

Antibes Old Town will be a perfect place to base yourselves.

Antibes would be ideal. I agree that St Raphael would also be good, but a little further away from Nice, Cannes etc. Nice would also be fine, not too busy at all, in my experience. If you're driving, try not to drive into the centre of the towns on the Cote d'Azur, unless absolutely necessary, as it may not make for a stress free vacation. Bus and train links are pretty good all along the coast.
