Verona Legroom
Posted: Fri February 8, 2008 10:09 PM UTC
Can anyone tell me what the legroom is like on the numbered steps in the Verona Arena? We are going this summer and we have splashed out on reserved seats on the steps. I am however concerned that there will not be enough room for me to straighten a previously injured knee which becomes troublesome if I can't straighten it from time to time. Any info would be welcome. Many thanks.

I was there last summer with an injured knee and there was just enough room for me to move around some (not straighten my leg) and I am only 5'4". The steps were on the steep side so I was glad I had a walking staff with me. You would be fine if you got seats at the end and stuck your leg out into the aisle just a little. I also found the seats to be rather uncomfortable but seeing the opera in the arena was worth it.

I think you would find more room with the seats on the flat area where you could straighten out more but they also cost a lot more.

I am sure there is plenty of leg room for you,but if there is'nt you could put a request to management as I am sure they would look after anyone with an injury or special request. You could also take along one of those small foldup seats you could rest your leg on or a blow up cushion to rest on. Most people are very generuos if you let them know your condition. Perhaps the people sitting in front of you might give the ok for you to stretch out.
Anyway dont be afraid to ask there are beautiful people in this world.
Have fun in Verona it is a very romantic place and if you get a chance there is a small romantic cafe on the right hand side in the first street inside the main gate. The food and service is wonderful.
Enjoy.
