Not fair. That's like asking me about blonds or brunettes. Both are enjoyable and both are scenic. The main difference may be that Yosemite might be more enjoyable (no sulfur odor) and that Yellowstone is more scenic because of the lake and canyon, all the different things nature throws at you from geysers to mud pots, and the mighty buffalo. I think it is easier to drive in Yosemite than Yellowstone. But still, that's a tough call.

That is a difficult question to answer. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I have been to Yosemite many times and it has much to offer in the way of scenery and beauty. I have also worked in Yellowstone for 5 years, and it also has much to offer. If you are interested in Geysers and hot springs as well as animal life you get it all in Yellowstone. I would not miss either of these natinal parks, you should take the time to visit both, perhaps not in the same trip, but they are both worth a visit.

Yosemite and Yellowstone are at the top of my list of favorites (along with the Grand Canyon). As someone else noted, asking which is more enjoyable is like asking who are more beautiful, blondes or brunettes.

Just choose one, spend three or four days constantly saying, "Oh my gosh, that's the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in my life!!"; then take another trip to the other park and repeat the experience.

As everyone else has stated, both parks are beautiful. If you are mainly interested in the beauty of mountain scenery, you will find that you have more mountain scenery in Yosemite than in Yellowstone. Yellowstone, however, is also beautiful, especially the spectacular Canyon of the Yellowstone, with its two large waterfalls. Yellowstone also has more variety in a national park than any I have seen. Canyons, grasslands, mountains, flats, hot pools, mud pots, geysers, streams, lakes, rivers, and lots and lots of wild life. You will see bison for sure, and if you go to Mammoth you will probably also see elk. You may also see moose, coyote, wolves, black bear, grizzly bear, antelope, and many different kinds of birds. The sulfur odor is only found in the geological hot areas, not throughout the park, and most people do not find it bothersome. I live near the park and have actually come to enjoy the smell and the hot air on my face. They have been repaving the roads within the park over a number of years now, and they are basically in good condition. Depending on which direction you come from, you may or may not have to climb a mountain pass to enter the park. The worst part of driving in the park is wildlife jams, expecially when buffalo decide they will use the roadway as their own personal walking path, and traffic comes to a halt until they move aside. I would suggest that you goggle both parks and take a look at their official web pages. Check out a few VT pages on both parks. They are both wonderful in their own way.

Agreeing with all of the above posts...I'd like to add.
If you're interested in wildlife, Yellowstone offers more of a chance to see these up close, in fact, you're assured to see Elk, Buffalo, deer, coyotes, foxes..and possibly, even wolves and bear.
For true scenic awe, try nearby Grand Teton National Park also.
I think the Tetons are one of the most beautiful of all mountain ranges in North America.
