Help!! Does anyone know of a hostal that's centrally located in the city for this weekend (9/10/11 of Feb)? The only one I've seen with recommendations is booked up and because my elderly mum is with me it can't be too basic. I would prefer not to pay more than 35 euros a night.

You could stay in a BIS HOTEL in Alicante, pretty comfortable and functional. The 3 day rate for the dates that you are travelling is 45.90 a night for 2 people ( breakfast apart, but is est to have breakfast in any bar, it would cost you cheaper than at the hotel ). If you are looking for something cheaper you can have a room fo 2 at 30 Euros at this link of Pension la Milagrosa. It is pretty well located at the center of the city ( from what I have checked on their web site )
