Hello,

I've never tried Hotel Bukit Dago personally, but I found a nice review of it:

http://www.streetdirectory.com/travel_guide/indonesia/west_java_bandung/bandung_hotels/info-186-hotel_bukit_dago_editorial_review_a_cheap_and_clean_colour_schemed_dago_retreat.php

The address and contact no:
Address:
Jalan Ir.H. Juanda No. 311
Bandung 40135, West Java
Tel. 022-70133344/2504700/2504244
Fax. 022-2505944

It is located at Jalan Dago (Jln. Juanda), in this road there are several famous Factori Outlets(FOs), and also close to Jln Riau (another FOs area)

Usually it's safe to just walk in, but to be sure just put a reservation first ;)

Have a nice vacation in Bandung :)

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the hotel that you had mentioned.

Anyway, I've stayed in Hotel Santika in my last trip. It's a nice, cosy hotel, located in Jln Riau. Therea are a few factory outlets along that road. There's also a local shopping mall right across the street. The mall has a good range of food choice at the food court on the top floor. The number of the hotel is (022)4203009.

Another place that I've stayed before was Hotel New Sanyrosa, located in Jl Hegarmanah...not too far from Jln Setiabudi & Jln Cihampelas..that if you're looking for another range of factory outlets and of coz, jeans. The number for New Sanyrosa is 62-22-2033682 / 203 3562 / 2043752.

Do book hotel upfront as Bandung is a popular weekend getaway for the local Indonesian.

All the best.

Hi,

As far as I know, you can't book the train online, but you check the schedule here: http://ticketing.kereta-api.com/

You can just go to Bandung train station and buy the ticket there. I suggest to get the executive (or business class if you can't get the executive class) - the ticket is IDR60000.

As for the traffic, in Bandung the traffic on weekend for sure is horrible. In Jakarta, the traffic on weekend is not much better compared to weekdays, traffic jam will occur especially near the malls, tourist attractions, sport complex etc where people spend the weekend for leisure.

There's also Hotel Mutiara; you can click here & obtain the necessary info:

http://www.mutiarahotel.com/

I've stayed twice at the hotel & on both occasions, i've no complaints at all. Tho it's relatively small, it's cosy & accessible to most areas... there's a factory outlet, RR just 2 mins away(honest! not the usual 2 mins mat salleh use to say when it's actually 1 mile away). If you're lucky & the FO has a sale on, don't miss it coz the price is real giler2. Also nearby is Kartika Sari, the renown bakery(halal). Also you can take the angkotan kota (public transport) just in front of the hotel to go to Pasar baru. It'll cost you abt 1000rph(not even 40sen). Of course coming back, you'll have to take a taxi (knowing what ladies can shop!)

How many of you are going? If more than 5, you can ask for the family room at Mutiara, which turns out alot cheaper than the usual 2 to a room. Be sure to bargain tho (unbelievable!), you'll be surprised what you can get.

Well, there's the choice.... good luck!

I myself will be going there on 26th Feb (got the zero sen airasia fare) & this'll be my 6th trip there. I really like Bandung.

Can give you more tips but am in a hurry. Cheerio!
