Hello There,


I might be travelling to San Juan La Union this coming friday. What bus operates the Manila San Juan route? and where is the bus terminal located. how much does it cost and how many hours travel time.

i need to be there by 8AM of Saturday

I know of 2 bus companies that go that route and both of their stations are in Dapitan:
1. Maria de Leon - 731-4907
2. Viron TRansit - 741-6588

we are planning to stop by san juan on 2nd week of february before we go up to baguio..i would like to ask you where are you planning to stay there and how much did you get your accommodation...? i dont know much about the hotel/resorts in san juan...and we will be travelling with 3children..just want some fellow VT member's comment on a place..thank you

Eric Dapitan St. is in Espaņa, Manila.
Like Maria De Leon is located at 1449 Gelinos corner Dapitan Street (at the back of UST) and along the same street is Viron Transit.

Hi there! Viron is now in Blumentritt extension, between Ma. Clara and Laon-Laan streets I think. I'll check later (I live nearby). Where are you coming from so I can give you directions.

Cruel... it's located along Dapitan din near that tennis court or is it a basketball court. i forget.

Oh yeah, now I remember - Dapitan cor. Blumentritt ext. right? But I know there's one more sa Blumentritt ext. beside Caltex eh. <confused> Dami kasi bus stations dun sa area na yun eh, I'll check na lang later :)

By the way, I just remembered, Fariņas Trans also travels to La Union. It's along A.H. Lacson, between Laon-Laan and Dapitan streets I think. Very near Infant Jesus Hospital. Across is back of UST.

thanks so much! my firend just informed me that Dominion Bus in Cubao is also servicing the San Juan route. thank god. i dont need to travel to Espaņa on a friday night. ehehe

@Clueless, Im on an all-expense paid trip by dept of tourism. but neways i will update you with our accomodation and the rates.

we actually have a shuttle goign to san juan but i cant join the team as they will leave 2PM, i still have work by that time. I'll be there to cover the 2nd leg of Suf Camp. an initiative supported by DOT to promote the surfing spots in the country.

From cubao, you can take Dominion, Partas, Farinas, Maria De Leon, Viron. Take the buses going to Vigan or Laoag, or Bangued, or Candon. They all pass by San Juan. San Juan surf area is before you reach the town proper, and less than 5 kms from San Fernando La Union. Farinas, Partas, and Viron would have buses leaving nearer to midnight or just after it, and it take 5-6 hrs and 7 if your unlucky, but You will have more than enough time for the 8am session. Some of the buses actually make meal or coffe stopover in Sebay restaurant and its right at the center of of the surf area of San Juan.

I regret to inform you that our La Union ddnt push through. the event organizers called us a day before the trip and told us that the waves in la union were small at that time, thus not suitable for surfing.

i just hope that by next week bigger waves would come in la union so that we can already push through the event.
