Hi,

Me and my husband are coming home for a holiday back in philippines and my husband whats to see more about philippines. We don't have much time in manila, maybe we can only stay for a day before flying back to nz again. I wonder if any here in VT can recommend something a most see in manila, I read about intramuros, is there any body you guys can recommend as a tour guide. I have a cousin in makati but seems its much informative if going to old historical places with someone who knows the history of the place.

How much does it cost for a tour in intramuros anyway.

You can surf "Carlos Celdran" and visit his website for schedules. He conducts walking tour of Intramuros, normally on a Saturday morning when he is in Manila.

If Celdran is not available here's a couple of links that can help you get yourself organized for a DIY Intramuros tour. The place is very walker friendly and quite safe for foreign visitors.

If you are pressed for time in Manila, the better way to see and have fun is to join the old manila walk. The walking tour will give you a first-hand info on Philippine culture (cuisine, locals, way of life...) and guided by a hilariously funny tour guide.
