| Split | Diocletian's night Posted: Tue February 5, 2008 03:32 PM UTC
Hi guys, could you please tell me when will be the Dicletian's night held in Split this summer. Last year we happened to be there and we had a blast! As all togas were sold out we just used our sheets from the hostel and being a proper Roman we were entitled to join the free Roman dinner in the palace. As far as I remember it was on the 27th of July.
Is the Diocletian's day/night is always on the same day every single year? Or do you have any information when it will be this summer, I will definitely want to go back and have some more!!! Many thanks! Judit |

Hi! I couldn't find the date for 2008, although it's usually around the same dates every year. Try to e-mail tourist office in Split: tic-split@st.t-com.hr as they might have an answer. At the moment not even Croatian tourist board web site has the schedule. (Quite typical for Croatia info sites).

hello,
this years diocletian's night is on 26th july and it lasts all day and night, it will be more interesting because more people know about it and they are dressing up in roman outfits, so if u wanna come dress in roman toga, last year whoever was in roman toga could participate in all events and join diocletian himself and the entourage on massive feste in palace, rest of people not dressed stayed out on riva.so who ever want to come have some great roman fun and do what romans do. hehehe. it means party party party. hehehe
