There is a Royal Palms Resort near Kalutara, if it's that it's a huge upmarket place on the west coast. I went for a function one night and it was really good but that was years ago, I would do a web search (try Trip Advisor) for more recent reviews.

I just noticed that you posted in the Beruwala forum, is it the Club Palm Garden? (if that is now called The Palms Resort my apologies) either way you will get recent reviews on trip advisor

Hi there, From my experience the hotel is a very good, high range hotel and located in a very nice place with easy acess to other beautiful beaches further south.
I picked this up from a web site for you, hope this will help. "The Palms" is situated in the South Eastern Coast in Moragalla - Beruwela about 90 kms from the Colombo International Airport, on the famous Beruwela Golden Mile stretch.
