Yep, nightlife around Plaza de Armas is good, also in calle Mercaderes, Obispo,Prado, etc...but, there is also great nightlife in Vedado area too, for example, in 23st street, or in many night clubs around.
Also Centro Habana has "el Barrio Chino". Miramar has Casa de la Música. ...there is more than one good nightlife area in Havana, you have to make some choices after visit some of then. Good luck.

Hi! back to the forums after some months of innactivity...
Night life in Havana is great, I enjoyed many long nights around Plaza de Armas. There are several small restorants and bar like places where to enjoy some music and taste some local drinks. But if U're looking for more dancing or maybe jazz music then your choice should be Vedado. For dancing I would recomend going to any "Casa de La Musica" place, U'll enjoy good salsa wiht life band. For jazz lovers I would recomend Jazz Cafe right on the malecon, at the end of Paseo avenue or U could check out "La Zorra y el Cuervo" on 23rd avenue, also close to the malecon. Check out my night life tips on my havana travel page for even more places and addresses...good luck!
