Taxi: Cost from Havana to Varadero

Would like to know what is the cost to go from Havana airport to Varadero?

Hello,

It takes 2 1/2 hours by car/bus to go from Havana to Varadero. You can take a bus for $10 (or 10 CUC) to go from Havana to Varadero. The bus leaves three or four times per day. I took this bus last week. Take Euro's...not US Dollars or Canadian Dollars...they charge a 20 percent fee on each! Have fun, Silas

First, thanks for your reply and information. I did check viazul's website, and it seems only 2 buses per day FROM Havana (if I remember correctly, at 8 AM and 12 Noon. Do you know of any other departures from Havana?
I would prefer to take a bus,since I assume it would be cheaper and safer, travelling alone.

Hello,

I recall there being an evening bus from Havana to Varadero. I will ask a Cuban local friend this question. You will be safe in Cuba...

Hello I have confirmed their is an evening bus 6pm that leaves Havana and arrives in Varadero at 9pm. After about 45 mins from Havana there will be ONE bathroom/fast food/water stop...this I know. Enjoy.
