Estado de Baja California Sur nice place for relax

Hi, I am planning a 3 weeks round trip to Baja California next July-Aug. Could somebody suggest me a cosy place for relax on the seaside where you can rest 3-4 days after the round trip? Possibly not too touristy!! thanks.

If you have some money to spend, I would check the "Posada de las Flores", which has three properties in Baja California Sur. Those were, in my opinion, the cosiest places we had in that part of the world.

The most remote is on Punta Chivato: accomodation is in tranquil stone bungalows with terraces overlooking the sea. There is not much to do there other than relax.

The hotel in Loreto is located in a beautiful colonial-style townhouse. But Loreto is touristy and the hotel does not have a beach.

You also have one in La Paz (we did not stay there). The city is the largest in the State, but not really touristy. It has spectacular beaches in the vicinity, but you will need a car to reach them.

If you want something more sophisticated, then you have plenty of options in Cabo San Lucas, which is where all the tourists are. If relaxing is all you want, the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, for instance, has a great spa and facilities. It is really isolated and has its own private beach (but swimming is not allowed).

One aspect you should consider is from where you are flying back home (I assume it is SJD). Distances are long in Baja California, so your search should be restricted to the southern tip.

Assuming you are coming all the way down to San Jose'/Cabo area, the town I live in, LOS BARRILES, which is just a little less than an hour's drive north of the airport (SJD) has a big beautiful beach, not crowded, especially at that time of year, has a number of nice, small restaurants and a few bigger ones, some shops. It is virtually equi-distant between San Jose' and La Paz, on the Sea of Cortes' side. There are several nice places on the beach from which to choose; http://www.palmasdecortez.com/, http://www.loscabosdirectory.com/hotel/martin_verdugo/ and just across the road, is http://www.losbarrileshotel.com/
The town is small and everything easily accessible within walking distance once you are here. The AGUILA BUS also stops up at the main road.
