of course is doable.. by car (must be a Neapolitan driver) to airport then with a private jet you could go to Mykonos... there is no direct commercial flight, maybe during summer some charter flights (easier from Rome and Milan or Bologna) otherwise by plane Naples -> Rome -> Athens -> Mykonos but probably you'll arrive next day....

i've made it from amalfi to crete in one day so i think it can be done as long as the flights are at the right time. alitalia and one other airline fly from naples to athens and for pretty cheap too. then you have to get your afternoon/evening flight to mykonos.

Aegean Airlines Flight 4401 is operated by Air One....

too expensive (twice than Alitalia) and.... I WOULD NOT GO WITH AIR ONE, but it's my own PERSONAL opinion.

the poster asked for a one day trip, and as near as I can tell, Aegean is the only one with a schedule allowing for that requirement. Most of the Alitalia Naples - Athens flights require a change in Rome or Milan, and then another change in Athens.

OK, but it's not unusual that AirOne require to change... day :-)

Air One is a change in Athens with a several hour layover, probably not a terrible idea. Same going both ways. Most of their flights require an overnight in Athens, but there is one that does not.

maybe I've not been clear.. it's not unusual to change day means I got the ticket for the flight of today but I can't go before of tomorrow.. that's one of the reasons I would never suggest AP anymore...
Then in Athens is an other story...
Again.. NEVER trust AP if you have a connection, if it's the only one carrier, that's my personal advice, book the flight on the day before.

there are many carriers which deletes flights every day for many reasons, who more who less... strange, most of the time are always the same airlines... and the same routes.. of course it's for safety reasons not because the flight was nearly empty... that's could be a small "shot"...
the "BIG picture" end July, 2006.... a lot of AP's flights deleted in two days, only AP, especcially between Italy/Spain/Greece and Sardinia/Continent (AP is not LH or AF) if you were involved, waiting to go home, TODAY you'd thinking different as THEN you had no idea of what was going on, nobody told you anything for more then 24 hours...... no sleep, no food.. nothing beside your flight delayed hour by hour like an "imaginary schedule"
That "picture" also meant 150,000 euros of fine PLUS all compensations to passengers (22 violations at U.E. rules).
I'm not saying AP is good or not, we would be Out of Topic and there is also airlinequality on net, of course a black monday could happen to any carrier, to avoid AP is my own personal decision.. that's it, maybe Southwest or Delta could be on your black list for much less, anyone has his own adventure and experience, I got a friend of mine who lives in Sardinia, many times has to flight AP (has ha LH flight) but she always try to leave the previous day and sleep in Rome at her sister's home, it is not only my "imaginary" idea... AP is often delayed..
:-) cheers

we have jet blue, which leaves a lot of people very blue. My wife is on a Delta flight in late February which by its own admission is more than 15 minutes late for scheduled arrival 60% of the time - a 2 hr 20 minute flight they allow over 3 hours for on their schedule. Understand fully. Yet we pick Delta over Jet Blue believe it or not because at least Delta flies their routes eventually. Have a good week. N.

Yes it can be done. AirOne fly directly from Naples to Athens(just over an hour) then you can either catch a ferry -just have to check what time the ferry goes- SeaJet11 goes from Rafina-the second port in Athens and takes about 2.5 hours. Or you can get either an Olympic Airways flight (around 50 Euros plus taxes) and they go quite often each day OR Aegean Air (the flight I booked was only 10 euros plus taxes. Mykonos is a wonderful place - so good we are returning this year bringing 27 others this time and adding in Santorini and Turkey. You'll love it.Good luck
