Tibet stay overnight in monastery

hi to all out there!
well, i have another question for the coming trip!
do you think it is possible to sleep a few nights in a monastery?
i hope some monks could speak english

some (e.g. in Beijing, Chengdu, etc.) are running their own accormodation service. But food are all vegetarian.

Hi,
It is impossible to sleep a monestry aroud Lhasa and same cities and towns, but if you travel to some where, which is quite remout country side, then they should be possible, which means you have also the permit, that you are allowed to travel those areas, too. For example, if you travel to Samye and close to Samye, there are few hamitages, if you go there then you have to sleep in same hamitage or small temples, because there are no avialibile to get guest house or hotels. In order to go to Samye, you need permits from Lhasa, this permit you will get through any travel agencies in Lhasa, it is very easy to get. I know there are many people, who go those places without permits, and if you will be caught, you have to pay find.
But if you travel out side of TAR, and still ethinic Tibetan area(Amdo, Kham and Gansu), then you do not need any permits and you will get possibilities to sleep in the monestries.

If you will go to EBC, you make sleep at Rongbuk monastery.
