St. Croix Harbor Night?
Posted: Thu January 31, 2008 08:25 PM UTC
Can anyone tell me what Harbor Nights in Frederiksted are like? If there is a Harbor Night, does that mean there is a cruise ship there?
We went to St. Croix several years ago. We attended what I think was a Harbor Night, but most of it was cancelled due to rain. There was, though, a terrific youth group playing African type drums with girls dancing in front. I'd like to try to see them again. We'll be in St. Croix from March 12-26.
Thanks.

Lucky you to be there on those dates. You will be able to see Harbor Nights on March 13th by the waterfront on Strand Street, in Frederiksted. This event takes place bi-monthly and has bands, and food, all kinds of fun things from 7 PM till almost 12 Midnight and yes it is usually because of cruise ship tourists. Check out the huge St. Patricks Day Parade in Christiansted being held on March 15th this year, starting at 11 AM.
