Dover Heathrow to Dover
Posted: Thu January 31, 2008 04:44 PM UTC
We will be arriving Heathrow and taking a cruise out of Port of Dover (terminal 2) I am assuming that train is the best means of transportation, however, what are the station points called? According to my information it is Dover Pier to Central London - Victoria or Charing Cross Stations, but I can't find these listed in the options.
Thanks for your help.

Dover Marine (as it was called) is long gone. The only train station in Dover is Dover Priory (from Victoria or Charing Cross?Waterloo East & sometimes London Bridge)

There's a shutle bus from the station to the port but it may only serve the Eastern Docks, where the bulk of the ferries go from. Actually quite a distance from the Western Docks...the whole of the Grand Harbour lying in between. But a cab shouldn't cost too much, it's not very far but not walkable if you have lugage.

The above link should give you all the information you need.

Once at the Cruise Terminal we found the check-in procedure very smooth we arrived in good time and were to board a small (800 pax) ship.
Enjoy it!

Hello, From Heathrow take the underground railway, change trains at Kensington South to the district&circle line, follow green&yellow signs for EAST bound
Platform, all trains go to Victoria---Next stop!
London Victoria to Dover Priory Station and then a taxi to cruise terminal, terminal1 to terminal2 opposite sides of the harbour!

Happy cruising.
