Short answer...Yes.
There are 2 crossings used by many. Poipet / Aranyaprathet and the Trat - Koh Kong Border. The former is really rather unpleasnt and over crowded...a bit of the wild west. The other is less so but always be prepared for chiselers and touts. Not tto mention a few corrupt immigration officials. Both are accessible form Pattaya or Bkk. You will find many travel shops offering minibus or coaches that way. There are many who offer "visa runs" to people who just want to go to the border and back in a day. there shpold also be through trips to Siam Reap. NB - July is getting into the wet season and so it may be worth checking out the condition of the roads before going. Try these for info.. http://www.cambodia-travel.com/information/poipet.htm http://www.canbypublications.com/cambodia/overland.htm THere are several othe r crossings now - see map on second web site.

If i were you i would spend a little bit more and fly to either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh, the road between Siem reap and the border really is terible, and i do meaen TERRIBLE. 9 hours from Bangkok, I havnt been to Pattaya but im sure there will be loads of travel agents willing to take you. If you decide on the road i think its about 25US dollars ish, if you fly to Phnom Penh dont forget a 20 dollar US note for the Airport tax when you arrive.

two things...you can fly direct ot Siem Reap from Bkk with Bangkok Air who basically are pretty expensive as they are the only airline to offer this run.
secondly, take a wad of US dollars in one dollar bills. They accept dollars everywhere but give change in the virtually unchangeable Riel. So if you don't want to accumulate a load of change in a worthless currency make sure you have small denominations of dollars.
