| Bristol | Kellaway Road Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 09:03 PM UTC
Hi!
I'm an Erasmus student, and I am going to live in Bristol for six months. I found a beautiful house in Kellaway Road, which seems a quiet place but it is close to Gloucester Road and Southmead, which I heard are dangerous areas. Do you think Kellaway Road is dangerous as well to live? Thank you. Rik. |

If you mean Kellaway Avenue, then no, it's not a 'dangerous' place as such. I would not class Gloucester Road or Southmead as 'dangerous' either, although there may be higher incidents of crime there than some areas of Bristol. Although I don't live in that area, I have walked around both areas at night without incident.

Gloucester Road is not dangerous, it's full of students and young professionals really, there's lots of bars so it's mainly drunk people around. Further up Gloucester Rd when it turns into Filton Avenue can get a little dodgier, but still there's lots of students around.
There's lots of buses around Gloucester Rd heading into town or into UWE, where I assume your placement is.
