| Seattle | Know anything about Enumclaw? Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 05:49 PM UTC
I am considering a trip to visit relatives that recently relocated to the Enumclaw/King County area. Can anyone tell me anything about it? What is there to do there? The relatives are a little biased and I would love an outside opinion....
Thanks for any insight!! |

Enumclaw is south of Seattle, and not a suburb, but a town of its own. What makes it attractive is the semi-rural setting right under the shadow of the enormous Mt. Rainier (14,410 feet). We always go through this town, have lunch or stock up on picnic supplies, and then go hiking either in the very nearby Federation State Forest, or drive into Mt. Rainier National Park for hiking, wildlife spotting, or cross-country skiing, depending on the season. So I always think of Enumclaw more as a "gateway" to some of the natural wonders of the state. I wish you a good visit!
