Montreal Bachelor Party in March
Posted: Tue January 29, 2008 08:04 PM UTC
I'm planning this bachelor party for my best friend.
I could really use some help.
Any recommendations on hotels?
Nightlife?
Daytime activities?
Any festivals going on in March? (13th-16th)
Anything else you think I should know about?

Anything will help. Thanks!!

Hello

Where exactly are you looking to go? or destination undecided?
What airport would you be flying out of and how many of you are there exactly?
Is it just a few nights of getting drunk or would you want to do some sight seeing etc?

We're driving to Montreal from Boston.
I'm sure we'll be going out drinking every night but I would like one fun activity for Friday or Saturday during the daytime.
My biggest worry is finding a place to stay. I hear St Cathrine Street is the hot spot and we should just stay close by so we can walk. A suite set up would be ideal, 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. 8 guys all together.
Any tips would be helpful.
THANKS!!!

Hi

I suggest that you try this place...Best Western Ville-Marie Hotel & Suites. It's at 3407 Peel Street, in the heart of downtown Montreal. 514 288-4141,
1 800 361-7791 (Toll Free).

AVERAGE RATES (IN CANADIAN DOLLARS)
$99.00 to 675.00 Double Occupancy
$15.00 Additional Person

And you're right about Ste. Catherine street but be weary where...anywhere between Guy Street and University Street is where most of the action is they cross Ste. Catherine Street.

Need anymore info, just let me know.

Hi there,

I spent a week in Montreal, and it's quite a place to be for nightlife! There is something for everyone. The Crescent in the western part of the Downtown areas is more for tourists and English speakers... the further east you go, you get to see more of the real Montreal with its French influence.

Since you'll be amongst a bunch of guys for a bachelor party, there are plenty of strip clubs for your enjoyment (if you're that way inclined). They tend to be between $0.00 entry fee to around $10.00 entry fee in most places. If you've been to ones in the USA, these ones are far better and a whole lot more fun! Very clean too.

PS. I have some photos on my Montreal page of the city at night.

Enjoy your stay.

Since no one mentioned this before, this coming Sunday, March 16, is the Montreal St. Patricks Day parade. Downtown will be doing nothing but this and it's always a huge event. They close off Ste. Catherine Street from Fort to Jean Mance streets, about 12 blocks, and hundreds of thousands of people are there. The parade lasts between two to three hours and then for the rest of the day and night Crescent Street is very crowded around the three or four irish pubs located there. Really, the party begins the night before, or even Friday. Here's the website for the parade: http://www.bar-resto.com/uis/

It's a good weekend for a party in Montreal, that's for sure!
