My sister and me are visiting Agra for one day in March. We will continue from Agra to Jaipur and as would like to continue our trip late morning or early afternoon, I think the bus is our only option. Could you please let me know where are the buses deparing in Agra. At Agra bus station? At some specific bus stop? We would like to get the seats at air conditioned bus and I understand they leave at 10.00 or 11.30 a.m or 2.30 p.m (A/C Goldline, RSRTC). Do you know if it is possible to book seats and / or buy the tickets to the bus in advance? If yes, how could we do it? If no, how early should we be queuing at bus stop? Also, is it safe for two women to travel at daytime in the bus?

Personally I would take the train, this section of line has recently been vastly improved and the journey times slashed form the previous 6 ½ to 7 hours (Information from Lonely Planet) to an Actual duration of Our journey –4 hours 20 minute,
Much more comfortable than a bus and a lot cheaper than a car !!

yes you can catch a bus to jaipur from agra and the buses stand at a bus stop near sheela hotel so you will have to reach there.
better to book in advance maybe a day earlier. yes its safe to travel during the day and will take 5 hrs to reach jaipur.there is a stopover nidway for refreshments and toilet visits in mahua town.

Trains from Agra to Jaipur leave from either Agra Fort Station or Agra Cantt. station, not Agra City.
