you want hot? better go there early July, not too crowded and less expensive. Pls note I wrote less expensive, not cheaper.

Hi, I was in Sorrento last August and it was quite hot. What disturbed us more than the heat were the crowded places and the trafficjam§ Rent a scooter and avoid the car because it's awful!
have a nice trip

I have been visiting Sorrento for over 20 years and always tried to avoid August as it IS HOT..and very busy as most Italians take their holiday in August.
But having said that..Sorrento is great any time of year ..why not take a bus to Sant Agata and have lunch at a wonderful un-touristy restaurant called Stuzzicadenti near the church and another day catch the bus to Maria Cantone..again another little place not many British people know about..pebble beach but 2 wonderful restaurants that serve the most delicious spaghetti con zuccine! with a bottle of chilled white wine and rocket salad..heaven! Buona Vacanza
