your site is very helpful... I planned a vacation last year to laoag... just thru your site... and same with I went to panglao too...
On those time I was hesistant to post a question... Now that I am confident with your site... I want to ask... I am planning a vacation to camiguin this feb with my family. I am torned with two resorts: Paras beach resort since it is has a shore line and it is near white beach... Enigmata their concept is really really nice... And I want the best of both worlds... does enigmata have a shoreline too?... bec the pics on their site does not show any... I want a resort with a beach front... with nice sand... I heard that the sand in the white beach isalnd is as fine as the one in bora? or even finer... is that true? |

I have not been to Camiguin but many VT members have and they have left their Tips on accommodation on the VT Camiguin Trave Guide which you can see here. http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/Asia/Philippi It looks to me as though Paras is liked best

15-20 min boat ride to White Island.Early in the morning is best time to go there.Cottages are available on the white island to relax and eat..

Sorry but you need to charter an outrigger boat to get to white island. I think it still costs around 400 to 800 Pesos for the entire boat, back and forth. White island is just a small sand bar off the main island of Camiguin. It is composed of crushed white corals and sand, so I don't think it is as fine as Boracay. However not going there is not going to Camiguin at all. Prepare your camera as it is the best place to take photos with Camiguin as your background. Enigmata is in the interior of Camiguin. The film crew and stars of the movie, Ouija stayed in Paras Resort last year. I will message you here in VT for website links.

Enigmata is an inland "hotel." The beach or shoreline is not easily accessed from enigmata.

I just got back from camiguin yesterday, I highly suggest you chose PARAS. too cozy, great food.

Enigmata doesn't have a shore line, but it's pretty cheap if you plan on going with a lot of friends. I recommend you take Paras if you're after the beaches and just visit Enigmata or you can eat there.
The best beach in Camiguin is the White Beach and Kebila. Mantigue is pretty good too, with delicious seafood readily available. :) Anyhow, I liked their cooking better than the ones served at White Beach.

No, the whitewater rafting in CDO is not near Camiguin. You have to stay in Cagayan de Oro City to enjoy whitewater rafting. I think Macahambus is the one offering whitewater rafting.
